The DAISY Award
Honor a Nurse at East Jefferson General Hospital
The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award honors the compassionate
care nurses provide every day. The DAISY Foundation was established by
the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he died from complications of an
auto-immune disease. During his hospitalization, Patrick and his family
were deeply touched by the care shown to them. They decided to create
this award to recognize and appreciate the invaluable work of nurses.
It’s time to share your story of compassionate and skillful nursing care! Honorees can be nominated by physicians, nurses, patients, volunteers, and other staff. Nominate an incredible nurse now!
