Tulane Cancer Center
The Tulane Cancer Center opened the doors of its new facility in September of 1997. Providing a multidisciplinary approach that coordinates the entire range of cancer care disciplines into one convenient location, this Center of Excellence eliminates the need for patients to travel from one specialist to another. Services include a state-of-the-art radiation therapy unit, as well as a minor surgery suite, an infusion suite, a laboratory, a pharmacy, a patient resource library, and counseling services. The Tulane Cancer Center's Clinical Research Office offers close to 200 research protocols. Our team of expert physicians, scientists, nurses, educators, and other professionals share the goal of improving the health of our patients, and ultimately the prevention and cure of cancer.

Tulane Center for Abdominal Transplant
The Tulane Center for Abdominal Transplant is dedicated to providing quality care to patients with end-stage organ failure who may seek transplantation as a treatment option. By aggressively embracing new treatments and technologies, and by providing a full spectrum of services in a holistic setting, this Center of Excellence offers a comprehensive team approach to disease management for both adults and children. This team approach works effectively across scientific and clinical disciplines to produce optimum treatment outcomes that surpass those of many of the leading transplant programs in the nation.

Tulane Hospital for Children
Tulane Hospital for Children, a "hospital within a hospital," was developed in 1993 as a distinct entity on the Tulane University Hospital & Clinic campus. This Center of Excellence provides a specialized environment and offers services created for the unique needs of neonatal and pediatric patients. Patients also benefit from the resources of the medical and academic arms of the larger hospital. Services include medical-surgical beds, a PICU, two NICUs, and a newborn nursery.

Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine
The Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine opened as one the premiere sports medicine facilities in the United States in the summer of 1998. Housed on the Tulane University uptown campus, this Center of Excellence offers a clinical orthopaedic surgery practice, advanced and general radiology, sports physical therapy, athletic training, aquatic therapy, human performance, and biomechanics laboratory. Also offered are injury prevention, acute care, follow-up treatment, rehabilitation, and re-integration into physical activity--all services that help athletes reach their maximum potential.

Tulane Inpatient Rehabilitation Center

Tulane University Hospital & Clinic's Inpatient Rehabilitation Center goal is to provide quality therapeutic services designed to help you reach your highest level of independence.

We have created a rehabilitation setting offering choices based on personal preference and self-determination. Our philosophy is to treat each and every person with respect and dignity. To help you reach your goals, a challenging physical environment has been designed, and a variety of social interactions are planned throughout your stay which will help you improve your functional mobility as well as encourage your transition back to your home and community.

Part of our CARF accreditation requirement includes making our stakeholders aware of our outcomes and other various aspects of our program.
