DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
(Click here for the Spanish version of this page.)
Tulane University Hospital & Clinic's Department of International Relations was created to assist you and your family with a number of services provided to you during your visit to our facility.
ACCOMMODATIONS AND APPOINTMENTS
The Department of International Relations will coordinate your appointments with the appropriate specialists, help you get registered, and make reservations for your stay either at the Tulane Deming Pavilion or at a nearby hotel that offers preferential rates to Tulane patients.
INTERPRETER SERVICES
A representative of the Dept. of International Relations will accompany you to your appointments as many times as necessary. In some instances, your Tulane doctor will need to communicate with your doctor or family members in your home country. A representative will make such calls and translate if necessary.
CHARGES AND PAYMENTS
The international patient's bill is coordinated through the Department of International Relations. Patients should realize that estimates given for procedures, consultations, or treatments are approximate costs and are subject to change since additional exams or studies may be needed. You will be informed of your final bill as soon as possible. If you have insurance, a representative will assist you in filling out any necessary forms.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
During your visit to Tulane, the Department of International Relations will be responsible for coordinating all of the services you may need. Our excellent location in the New Orleans business district allows Tulane patients to take advantage of close banking, hotels, consulates, and also, the famous French Quarter.
